Oh, the humanity

Had an email exchange that degenerated from its original purpose to a game of spot-the-comedy-quotation. Which made me worried about my brain...

'Thinking of quotes is no problem- there are two almost, but not quite, entirely unrelated problems. Problem 1) trying to work them into the context of the email. Problem 2) stopping my whole brain from being taken over by metastizing, multiplying herds of quotes, one evoking the next in a giant chain of mixed metaphors, trampling over my thoughts like a panicked wildebeest stampede, so that I become unable to say anything but "Run awaaaaay!"'
