Had a teeny drama this morning. My colleague has two tomato plants in small pots on zir desk (no room for them at home); they've gone incredibly spindly because there isn't really enough light for them, and show no signs of flowering. We've had to keep finding new canes as they got taller and taller, and eventually resorted to taping several together- of course in the end it was all going to fall to bits: there was a toppled plant sprawled over my desk this morning with tape-covered cane elbows going everywhere. (Looking just a little like an anorexic Chinese dragon with its tail stuck in a pot.) It's all propped up on the cubicle panel, leaning its canes on strategically placed drawing pins and looking a bit squashed, but it's had a nice drink so with luck it'll have recovered by the time zie gets back from hols next week. The worrying thing is that the other one is also looking a bit top-heavy and leaning...

ETA: Monday: No more drama over the weekend. The cane junctions have been reinforced by taping pens to them :-) but the plants are still leaning- or perhaps it's more of an ominous loom?
