(no subject)

Since my last post I have... had a furniture consignment and in consequence reorganised the house again [1], seen High Society (preferred the live version to the filmed one, mostly because it hasn't had a completely extraneous jazz festival subplot shoehorned in but also because it has Let's Misbehave), seen The Play What I Wrote (good, but it was better with the original writer/actors in it, and I have to say that Ewan McGregor was a more exciting surprise guest than Christopher Biggins. But the falling-off-the-wall scene, hee. I can't figure out how it worked on Broadway at all- they must have had to rewrite about half of it, because it's so much about Morecambe and Wise and meta about their relationship with other double-acts... without that it would have been so much blander, I'd have thought, just about a comedy duo half of which wants to write Serious Stuff), um, made split-pea soup, been irritated by the existence of early-closing days, repeatedly forgotten to synch the MP3 player, you know, diaryish things like that.

I've seen lots of things that deserved links but this is the one that's stayed in my head long enough. I think Shakespeare would have written a mean zombie film script.
