Mar. 29th, 2007 12:28 pmBloody hell, I go to one little conference and get back to skip=140. Maybe I need to prune just a teenyweeny bit.
Brain v full (you let someone be a keynote speaker and they don't half waffle on), some things will definitely be useful, and current awareness is good anyway. My colleague's poster got lots of attention *vicarious preen*. Skipped the formal networking evening (well, I had a ticket for ( Daniel Kitson! )) and buggered off after the conference dinner but before the dance (I've seen my people dancing. It is not pretty) but did do some sociable things, chats over tea and so on- which was nice, but I feel a bit peopled out now.
So yes, yay conferences.
Saw a fiend in the same city beforehand- watched the last Kombat Opera and encouraged the gerbils as they chewed a map of Australia out of cardboard. Truly rodents are cute.
