Aug. 20th, 2007 01:06 pmThe internet is all sloooow today, everything keeps timing out. FAIL.
Went to see As You Like It in a ruined monastery, which was nice. (For those who, like me, suffer from Which Shakepeare Comedy Is Which Blindness, AYLI is the one with the girl disguised as a boy, y'know, the one where the duke's brother has deposed him... There's this unfunny clown... a chap with a lute...
Yeah, sorry, it's the one with the Forest of Arden. It's got the seven ages of man speech? The melancholy Jaques? Rosalind's the heroine, you remember, there's that bit where she's disguised as Ganymede and gets Orlando to woo her? That one. Anyway, it's nice and suitable to do outdoors, and it was a pretty good production- the Visible Plot Mechanics are fairly unavoidable, but the acting was good. And it didn't rain and there was mulled wine and fireworks.
All the fridges I looked up seem to have reversible doors, which is spiffing. (Must look up reliability stats on washing machines as well. The thrills just aren't stopping today.)
