May. 29th, 2008 12:03 pmI have to say, I was interested to see a burrowing spider close-up- the three-layered fine-woven web trap was a marvel, and I liked the little huddled bundle of spider at the bottom waiting to grab. I wish it hadn't been in my teaspoon, though.
(This was the teaspoon measure for my breadmaker, by the way, which is about 1cm across and 2cm deep and thus much better as a burrow analogue than a normal teaspoon. Plus, it got washed up after I made bread on Monday, so quick work there by Arachne. My house does seem to be well-provided with spiders, which, you know, is good, keeps the flies down, but can be disconcerting when a bit of the wall moves in the corner of your eye.)
