Jun. 12th, 2008 03:57 pmIt's gloomy outside but my office smells like summer; this is because it wasn't gloomy yesterday and I took the opportunity to get my obligatory early summer "no, really, I'm an English blonde, I burn in five minutes, I need to remember this" sunburn, [*] and so I have Noxzema on my arms. Mmm, holidays.
Went to see Paul Merton's Impro Chums (ie, the Comedy Store Players' annual tour) on Tuesday; brilliant, as expected; particularly liked Mike McShane's Welsh accent. (Lee Simpson: "For the Welsh bobsled team, we seem to be quite close to Dublin.") Suki Webster was good, too, hadn't seen her before. The Shakespeare play was The Mermaid of Venice, and yes, they did get the "36-25-75p a pound" joke in. And Paul took his trousers off...
[*] I was at work yesterday. This means that I managed to get sunburnt after six in the evening. Even by my standards that's impressive.
