Apr. 28th, 2009 04:41 pmRight, hmmm: my computer has had its RAM tripled and seems to be within acceptable levels of slow, rather than being glacial; my roof is insulated, and I didn't murder, maim or even swear at A. (much), but now I need to make the room livable again which will be a ghastly task; In The Loop [1] was depressingly believable, and very very funny, and contains a bit where you feel sorry for Malcolm Tucker, and has all sorts of subplotty goodness [2]; my TV Rickrolled me on Sunday[3]; it's pissing it down and I'm glad, glad do you hear me, GLAD!!! on account of the garden, which is looking lovely, and I planted some more things on Sunday so soon it will look even more lovely. I just wish the cat-repellent gel things worked.
Does this entry read as a little overclocked? My coffee filter thing has arrived.
Also, a bunch of DVDs and the video of Mawdryn Undead. (That's what New Who's missing- a companion who's actively trying to kill the Doctor. That would be cool. Well, better than their all being in love with him, anyway.)
[1]Film about special advisors maneuvering and cracking heads to push through an unpopular war
[2]ETA: And, I forgot to say, it was LOUD. Speaking as one who puts the subtitles on for DVDs so I can have the volume lower, I don't exactly find it an incentive to go the the cinema more often if I have to spend the first five minutes of the adverts fishing around in my bag hoping I've brought my earplugs. This isn't an action film and it isn't a rock-doc and it isn't aimed at teenagers; why was it SHOUTING AT ME? Bad show, Leeds The Light Vue.
[3]To be fair, this was in some "Hits of the 80s" show
