Magic's Pawn, pwned. And as ever I completely agree, giggle a lot, and wonder where my copy is.

My life is being dull. We had snow. Then nasty black ice. Now it's all melted again. Y'see? That's the sort of fascinating incident going on here. Which is fine, I'm watching lots of DVDs. I know it is shallow to treat hard-working, minding-their-own-business characters as eye-candy. I should really work on that... Awww, look at Ford saving Arthur's life by getting him drunk. So sweet.

I was crossing Blackfriars Bridge with a bit of snow on the pavements, and I noticed there were bands of no snow every 50 metres or so. After a bit I realised that this was where the piers were, and I think it was a combination of thermal mass in the piers together with windchill off two surfaces rather than one, and perhaps radiation downwards. Quite fun to have the temperature bands visualised so effectively.

No photo, though. Maybe next time.

Oh, yeah, that's cool when you see that sort of thing.
We had a beautiful swirled pattern of litter in the shopping precinct this morning from where it'd all been blown out of the bins and tornadoed around in circles last night...
