I have helped to completely dig up and destroy a heavily overgrown garden; we found salamanders! (They were set free in overgrown surroundings.) It was fun, especially the cuddle breaks with a very cute boy. [1]
I have also been moving lots of books about, have fed duck to A. and raspberries to myself (mmm, berries straight off the bush) and otherwise have done my usual Not Much.
Rewatching Dinnerladies. Twinkle may be my favourite sitcom character ever. ("Thanks a bogroll, Carol Klein," I can hear her sneering...)

Have just discovered that a colleague and I had identical reactions to a new presenter on Gardener's World last week: "Stop flirting with me, love, your garden is a lot more interesting than your cleavage." I don't mind Nigella smouldering at the camera- wonder what the difference is?

[1] His widdle ears. Awww. (Apparently if a baby starts crying and you say "Oh dear, life *is* hard," it's amusing to people.)

Was this Allan and Sarah's garden, and did you get any pictures? I helped shift quite a lot of stuff in March but I haven't been back over since.

Yes it was, and no I didn't- I think Sarah took pics, though. We took down all the ivy and its trellis (revealing that behind the several-inch-thick blanket of ivy, the wall had fallen down!), took out all the plants except the tree at the back (a fork was severely bent in the shifting of some of the roots), took up the path, broke up the old bench... it's basically bare earth- they're going to re-lay the patio, put in decking on the raised bit at the back, rebuild the wall, and sell in that condition.
I just went over for the afternoon. They had a bonfire later, I believe, and carried on with shifting the rubble the next day...
