Nov. 24th, 2012 07:07 pmI've had a fun couple of days, went to see Paul Foot last night (he's less whimsical in a long show than when doing a bit as part of a bill, Well, no, just as whimsical- his starting routine was about a collection of cheddars in a shed built across a disused railway line- but with more venom. Also, a genuinely surreal ending, ie, firing off a bunch of meaningless sentences. Very impressive, very funny. I think I've figured out who he reminds me of, and it's Dudley Moore- more for the voice than anything else, but also the visible glee in his face quite often.)
And today I've been to see Bugsy Malone, done by a local film club, a room half-full of kids dressed up in little gangster suits (I got shot by a four-year-old) and half of adults having a nice cup of tea and a sing-along. I sloped off before the pie-fight though.
