Mar. 20th, 2006 12:28 pmHad a nice day on Saturday with
sigmonster; {feels lazy} here's his post on it.
Went to the Hackney Empire's best-of-new-act-of-the-year show in the evening; (I missed the competition itself a couple of weeks ago. They had the best eight of the acts back this time.) ( It was a bit disappointing )
Friday night was brilliant, though. A fundraising evening for the Battersea Arts Centre, called Return of the Sausage- your ticket price included a free saus. ( Fangirling ) It was nice to bump into someone I know (WINOLJ) and talk about the acts; looking forward to going to see the Boosh (next week! Whoo!) with two people to gush with. One of whom hasn't seen much of the show, so am lending the DVDs- hope she likes them now :-)
There doesn't seem to be much I want to go and see this week. A chance to catch up on reading, perhaps. Enjoyed a Michael Innes I hadn't read before- the one where a professor is hit by a meteorite. Even more baroque writing than usual, so that was fun.
