I've just had a dispatch note from Amazon. All your xmas present are belong to me. *radiates smugness*.
(Actually not quite true. I'm waiting for a book that may or may not get published in time, but I have a backup plan if not.)
Only 11 days to go, sorry to panic people who are not as organised as me, but it's true. This bizzare weather has thrown my internal timetable out, I think- even with all the tat in the shops, it feels more like mid-Nov than mid-Dec to me. I expect it'll be all right when we put the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on (loopy religion, lovely voices) and start decorating.
Christmasses always make me realise how lucky I am with my family. I expect we'll drive each other up the wall a fair bit, but we basically like each other, and have enough in common that we don't run out of things to talk about. My very best wishes for survival over the season of enforced happy jolly family joy festive happy family merry fun family happy time for people who the gods chose to endow with Relatives From The Black Lagoon. At least the days will start getting lighter again.
