Jan. 31st, 2008 03:33 pmOK so: Torchwood puzzlingly not very incompetent last night, is this because they were following sekrit sealed orders or what?
Steampunk Torchhwood fics pls?
Mark Watson: Still scruffy, self-deprecating and adorable. I do like people who look all shambolic but are actually very good (v. English sort of archetype). Doing the first 20 minutes from the balcony because you were wandering around the theatre and just decided that leaning way over and shouting would be funny...? Also, best self-introduction ever and no returns, crouching down behind the balustrade, shouting "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Mark Watson!", and using the period of applause to sprint along the walkway down the stairs and onto the stage all out of breath.
He has zinging one-liners which work really well hidden amongst the shambling about telling daft stories and going off on tangents. (How can you not love somebody who ends the first half of the show by doing an appraisal of his performance so far, and deciding he should aim to be more focused in the second half?)
