Jun. 18th, 2007 11:54 amIt felt like I hadn't been out to comedy for a while- probably because I hadn't- so I was determinedly undaunted by the fact that half the trains seemed to have been stopped by floods. In fact getting to Leeds was fine, but getting stuck and having to get a taxi home did, um, double the cost of the evening or something. Rob Rouse was compering- I'd seen him on Comedy Shuffle, but not live- a nastier edge to it, but pleasantly disorganised- Robin Ince (yay), Matt Kirshen- who I'd seen compering, but not doing his set- excellent, played against his small cute appearance very nicely- and Mark Watson, good as ever. They all had something to say about playing a music hall- it does seem to have a nice atmosphere to it, the audience really gelled.
