shark_hat | (no subject)

Life is buzzing along in a normal way, without any amusing tribulations to tell y'all about. I'm not sure how interesting a post all about the sort of thing that's on my mind at the moment would be, like, how I was looking for a little ramekin to put scented oil in at work (because my cow orker smokes, not in the office of course, but the smell clings) and Woolies had one for 60p but it was a bit too big, and I reckoned I could get one in a charity shop for less than than that anyway, and then I found an old 35mm film container at the back of a drawer of the random unused desk at work that's basically used as a shelf for spare envelopes and things, and the lid of that actually works perfectly (life as Gaurdian letters column). Or how little fun it is to have cold rain driven horizontally straight down your earhole. (Those playful Yorkshire breezes!)

Went to see Lee Mack last night... I dunno, I laughed a lot, it was fun, he's more energetic and sweary than his TV persona. I feel quite "enh" about it, though, in the end. I don't think I'll bother to buy the DVD. I don't think he's doing anything that interesting, just basic MOR standup, and I don't have the shelf space... (Ooh, comedy snobbery! Nah, I think this is the same thing the Tough Guide to Fantasy is on about- when you've read 5900000000 fantasy books you notice all the cliches, and you start valuing a book that's doing something different more than one that's much like all the others, even if the samey one is better written.)
