Tea, cake and H2G2 fic. I like this blogging at home lark.

I have bought a new hat. I know I have several hats. This is different, as it is a beanieish sort of hat. It is turquoise. I think I look very chic in my new hat and a yellow blanket, hunched over the keyboard. (I have other clothes on as well. It is too cold not to.) Now I am going to take my tea and cake and sit in a warm room. The blanket may come off. Perhaps even the hat. Maybe, if the fire's on- this is just wild speculation, of course- the second pair of socks, too. (You didn't think this was going to be as steamy an entry as that, did you?)

Hat!

I've been looking for a beanieish hat, ideally black and entirely without a logo and big enough for my freakishly large skull (really not that large diamter, about 7 3/8 I think, but it carries on downwards for a good long time), to be a sort of skull-cap stage in the hat progression, capable of being worn on its own or of being a layer under another hat, or hood, or conceivably helmet. I haven't found one I like yet, though.

Didn't Montaigne have a rabbit-fur skull cap? Hmm.

Also I have lost my fleece hat, which is mildly annoying. Wonder if it's at Dad's?

Hmmm. Where did I get this one? They had a couple of plain black ones. (Maybe too thick for your purposes.) We went into a couple of outdoor shops with sales on... It was Millet's, I think. (We also went round Exeter's famers market (about 10 stalls, very manageable) which was fun. Ooh, it was cold though.)
Hope the hat reappears itself.
