TV is the most important thing
Jan. 17th, 2008 01:03 pmHee! Cracked out ridiculous skience-deficient [1] fun.
Dismissive old lady iz dismissive! And rightly so for they are still utterly incompetant, hooray.
John, v. cool- I mean, Jack/John, yeah, hot, whatever, but he kissed Gwen nearly to death, he lusted after a poodle and he SHOT THE RAPIST. HA. Sadly Creepy Boy managed to be running around implausibly soon afterwards, but he was at least IN AGONY for a bit. (I approve of murderous conmen, apparently. What can you do.)
Jack/Ianto- awwwww. In fact, Ianto in general this episode, awwwww. [2]
Jack/Gwen was pastede on yay? (For heaven's sake Gwen, if you're going for some inexplicable [3] reason to cheat on the adorable Rhys, go for Tosh, who is FIVE MILLION TIMES TOO GOOD to be pining after Frogface, and much, much, much more reliable than Jack. (Do not, repeat, DO NOT sleep with Dr Skanky again. That was nasty.))
Jack in an office... baby, you can come and use our photocopier ANYtime.
Nice immortality reveal. Pwned!
I fully agree with
ETA: ALso, had forgotten that IANTO WOULD TOTALLY BE UP FOR AN ORGY. I mean WHAT. Subtext, who needs it?
[1] Inject our blood samples into his HEART and that will CORRUPT HIS OWN DNA CODE! WITHIN FIVE SECONDS!! (And will not in any way give him a heart attack, or set a nasty immune thing going on in his circulatory system.) WTF?!?, with an extra helping of WTF!?! sauce. (I guess just, y'know, injecting it right under the thing so it got confused and fell off wouldn't have been skiffy enough.)
[2] Although, is someone so forgiving of people who kill his girlfriend really reliable?
[3] AKA Rusty sez everyone must have secks/guilt/secks/UST/secks at all times.
Have found perfect song to vid Who/Torchwood, Mitch Benn's My Girlfriend Is An Alien. Alas, no vidding skills.
I hadn't seen the Top Gear where they do the personal ads. "Sensitive hair"? Men Seeking Men? "'Short, angry guy' wouldn't have got any replies"? Hee.
Mock the Week DVD: awesome. (All right, not literally. I mean, modern video reproduction technology can be fairly mindboggling when you think about it, but this DVD doesn't really inspire actual awe as such any more than any other one would. It's pretty damn funny though. Maybe I should just go back and put 'pretty damn funny' instead of 'awesome'.) Frankie Boyle is SO FULL OF EVIL WIN. And so is Russell Howard, only he's so cuddly you don't notice.
Memo to self: Listen to radio more.
