I need a cinnamon roll. Why are there no cinnamon rolls at work, or, indeed, as far as I know, anywhere in the city? I mean, what is wrong with this country that we will happily sell lardy cakes right in public but there are no cinnamon rolls?

(Actually I can probably get one at Starbucks.)
... and in an amazing development, literally as I was about to hit post...
Yay! My boss has just gone home so I can leave early and get a cinnamon roll! If Starbucks has one. Which they better had do now they've got me all excited for one, coffeebased teases that they are.

Cinnamon bun bought and et. It had raisins in as well, but this was acceptable.

Standard sweet dough will make very nice cinnamon rolls. Also honey and poppyseed rolls, and sticky buns.

You will, of course, get 12 or 24 rolls rather than 1, but it's difficult to see this as a negative :-)
